God is For YouJul 11, 2022
Trauma can cause you to question God. To distrust Him or have anger towards Him. I know it did for me. For years, I saw God as an angry, abusive father, ready to beat me with a stick any time I did something wrong. Even when I started coaching and started telling women that He loved them and had a plan for their life, I would think He is for them but not for me. That somehow Gods blessing weren’t for me. They were for everyone else, but not me.
I thought I was alone in that thinking, but it turns out it’s a pretty common trauma response.
Do you feel that way? Does it feel like God is punishing you? Or that he’s never around when you need Him?
My friend, I want to challenge you today to begin digging a new trench in your brain. Declare this verse. If God is for you, who can be against you?
Ask yourself, when has God come through for you?
What evidence do you have that He is for you? Maybe it was a free meal someone gave you, or an unexpected check that came in just in time.
Keep declaring this verse every morning and asking yourself these questions. Each time you are doing this you are digging that new trench (pathway in the brain) a little bit deeper.
Before you know it, you will have pages of evidence that this new thought is true and it will begin to feel true to you.
